One La Jolla Center

San Diego, California

The 15-story, 395,000-square-foot One La Jolla Center was designed to complete one of the largest superblocks in the University Community Plan Area of San Diego. Adjacent to University Towne Center regional shopping mall, the project was designed to connect the new tower and the two existing buildings located on the block, via a pedestrian promenade. The building's articulation of base, middle and top created a symmetrical balanced proportion that is further defined by the large offsets that frame the building.
