A new facility focused on changing the healthcare experience for staff and patients

The new care center for the MemorialCare Medical Foundation reflects the group’s vision to create a new model of a medical facility that positions physician services, ambulatory procedures, testing and wellness programs in a convenient, accessible location for patients and visitors. The design focuses on both the patients’ and staff’s well-being, and optimizes the healthcare experience by connecting people, place, and technology, while maximizing efficiency and flow in a collaborative and nurturing environment.

The project consists of approximately 25,250 square feet of interior design services, including a reception/waiting area, exam rooms, an X-ray room, blood draw lab, physicians’ offices, nursing stations, restrooms, specialized medical areas, conference rooms, a break room and miscellaneous support spaces. LPA’s integrated team also worked on the structural engineering; mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering; furniture and management; and graphics and signage.

The completed project complemented the healthcare delivery goals for the MemorialCare Health System, expanded market share and provided comprehensive medical care for patients in the community. The project is part a collaboration between MemorialCare Health System and LPA that began in 2010, focused on the institution’s long-term goal of creating better healthcare environments for its patients and staff.
