Paramount High School Athletic Complex
Paramount, California
At the center of the athletic complex renovation is a 6,000-seat stadium with an all-weather synthetic field striped for both football and soccer. All track and field amenities were developed to accommodate and include a nine-lane, all-weather track, two synthetic D-zones featuring multi-colored shot put rings, two pole vault pads, a high jump area and two runways for long jump with a total of four sand pits. A dedicated discus throw area is separated from the main running track with 25-foot fencing to protect athletes and spectators. Dedicated ticketing, restroom and concession buildings are provided for both home and visiting teams.
The baseball complex includes 450-seat baseball bleachers; a collegiate-level field with 390-foot center field fence; 37-foot, vinyl-coated backstop; fully sub-drained natural turf area to ensure durability and year-round access; concrete dugouts; batting cages; enclosed bull-pens; and baseball team building with a comprehensive field house building and a separate three-court gymnasium.
The final component of the athletic complex is a 29,000-square-foot field house building, which will become the visual entry and centerpiece of the campus enrichment. The field house building has been designed to achieve minimal energy usage and incorporates the structure for photovoltaic panels to achieve a net-zero energy building.
