Reimagining the tenant experience in downtown San Jose

LPA re-envisioned this 1980s vintage, 14-story, 234,000-square-foot office building in downtown San Jose into a Class A workplace for Silicon Valley tenants.

The main building lobby and the entrance from the parking garage were redesigned, with
new ceilings, lighting and back-painted glass to brighten the space and enhance the original wood veneer. Illuminated LED wall panels and new terrazzo flooring provide added pop. Collaborative spaces built into the lobby offer spaces for spontaneous meetings for tenants and visitors, creating a “living room” for the building.

The building includes a fitness center and usable outdoor balconies. The redesign of the main lobby extends outside onto Market Street, where new exterior lighting spotlights the three-story arcade, which has been re-clad with new white, back-painted glass panels. Large graphics and planters further enhance the entry.
