The design of Mazda’s new 7,300-square-foot Western Regional office in Irvine, California is reflective of the new direction Mazda is taking with their branding and dealerships. Mazda’s Retail Evolution is bold and sophisticated, yet simple and elegant, which became the basis for the Western Region office design.
Dark accents throughout are balanced with the warmth of wood tones in the flooring and work surfaces, as well as the natural daylight that fills the open office, collaboration spaces and break room. The large-scale, back-lit graphics add a dramatic element that reflects the new branding direction of Mazda’s dealerships.
The design includes sit-to-stand workstations and several different collaboration areas. The large open lounge is equipped with bar-height plug-and-play stations, lounge furniture and meeting tables to encourage conversation and collaboration. Demountable glass walls and sliding doors were used for the private offices and focus rooms.
