Unifying A Brand Across Regional Offices

CalAmp’s 24,000-square-foot Richardson, Texas office was selected as the first location to receive the technology company’s office-wide brand refresh. LPA was engaged to help envision and execute the company’s brand across three regional offices, developing a unified look and feel that connects each space.

CalAmp worked with the brokerage firm JLL to select the entire second floor of the 389,000-square-foot low-rise building, where two CalAmp offices were consolidated to optimize for growth. Known locally as “Richardson's Telecom Corridor,” the recently renovated campus attracted new tenants with its remodeled outdoor plaza, fitness facility and training center.

The office is nestled alongside Campbell Creek – a lush greenbelt that can be viewed from the offices and common spaces throughout. The natural backdrop informed the open office design, which features fresh, grey tones and natural wood finishes, while taking full advantage of the natural light and tree-filled views.

The design weaves familiar brand elements into different aspects of the office. The vibrant blue hues, concentric circles and distinct angles found in the company logo helped to inform the overall layout and architectural elements within the space, including the reception desk, ceiling and lighting design, and meeting spaces. Neutral color palettes were used for floor finishes, light fixtures and furniture to compliment the brand’s vivid color. Combinations of paint and applied vinyl graphics represent the brand’s “data in motion” services in conference rooms and private offices, which added visual interest in each space.

The design was developed with brand-focused concepts that can easily cross over from region to region, ensuring that visitors and staff receive a consistent brand experience in each setting.
