Meet LPA: The Client's Voice
Senior Project Designer Angela Chiang has based her career on a simple idea: See the world from the client's point of view.
"I'm an extension of the client's team," Angela explains. "Our job is about aligning LPA to the client's standards and to try and understand what helps them build a stronger portfolio."
After more than 20 years at LPA, she understands what's at stake. She knows that design can transform a client's ability to lead and innovate, to build the type of place where people want to work and spend their time.
Angela is the key link between designers and tenants, building owners and the community, making sure their views are heard. On every project, from modest commissions to upscale multistory offices, clients can turn to Angela for a sympathetic ear and a straight answer.
The relationships are based on trust. Angela values the opportunity to partner with clients, to experience their process, challenges and long-term vision. “Clients expect us to deliver, but they also want us to challenge them as their design partner,” she says. “Trust allows us to push those boundaries.”
Staying close to tenant needs and market trends also keeps Angela aligned with leasing teams. To her, success isn’t measured by awards, but by clients thriving. “When tenants get inside and personalize the space — that’s when we know the design is doing its job.”
