Veteran lab planner will support firm’s work developing innovative and supportive life science facilities
LPA Design Studios today announced the hire of Andrea Ingersoll Totte as its newest Senior Laboratory Planner. In her new role, Ingersoll Totte will lead LPA’s laboratory planning efforts, with a focus on creating safe, innovative and sustainable designs to support the rapidly changing needs of life science companies.
“Andrea’s extensive experience designing high-performance laboratory and manufacturing space for life science and advanced technology companies will be invaluable to LPA as we continue to expand our expertise in this rapidly growing sector,” said Isabel Mandujano, LPA’s director of laboratory planning. “Our science and technology clients are increasingly seeking creative and efficient human-centric solutions to help foster innovation in these complex scientific environments, and Andrea will help us deliver.”
Throughout her career, Ingersoll Totte has worked with corporate, government and academic clients on the development and implementation of tailored architectural solutions for complex projects. She specializes in the integrated co-design of contextually informed solutions for corporate, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, while ensuring she provides a platform for professional growth and development for all those around her.
Previously, Ingersoll Totte served as a project leader and vice chair of Science & Technology for STG Design in Austin, Texas. She has worked on a variety of notable projects nationwide, including laboratory and office space for 3M, National Instruments, The United States Navy, BAE Systems, The United States Marine Corps, and the Department of Energy, among others.
She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in architectural studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
