Albert Lam is a licensed architect and project manager specializing in K-12 schools. His calm leadership, meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills have enabled him to successfully guide some of LPA’s most complex and challenging projects. He excels at understanding the goals of each design, keeping teams accountable, and working closely with all stakeholders to envision and deliver impactful, 21st century learning environments.
As LPA’s everyday face to the client and the contractor, Albert is adept at managing interdisciplinary coordination, maintaining quality in project documents, achieving governing agency approvals and working with contractors during construction administration. His ability to coordinate disparate groups, translate the intent of discussions and confirm mutual understanding of decisions is invaluable to LPA’s delivery of integrated, holistic design solutions.
Albert has focused the entirety of his career on K-12 campuses, many of which have been large-scale new construction and modernization projects impacting public schools on a campus-wide basis. He has experience across all development phases, including master planning, programming and conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, contract administration and closeout. He is an expert in a range of building types, including administration, library, classroom, gymnasium, cafeteria, central plant, lecture hall and performing arts center spaces.
Since joining LPA in 2007, after graduating from the University of Southern California, Albert has become a recognized leader in the firm. He was named LPA Professional of the Year in 2022 and made an Associate in 2023. Outside of work, he is an avid photographer with a deep love of travel and has visited all seven continents.
