The Westgate Center re-imaging project had very clear objectives: provide a reinvigorated presence to this aged property, offer contemporary retail amenities that facilitate the desire to be known as a destination and deliver improvements in a very cost-effective and non-disruptive manner at the occupied retail center.
The design team focused their efforts at the five entries through the use of freestanding architectural screen panels that provide wayfinding, retail identity and express the new attitude of the center. In support of the Westgate’s long tradition as a community event venue for seasonal celebrations and activities, the main entry is co-located by a flexible indoor/outdoor living room and food lounge that enables programmatic changes. Additional improvements include hardscape and landscape upgrades, new flooring throughout, high efficiency lighting, restroom enhancements, interior architectural wayfinding elements, custom furnishings and entitlements.
