Feast & Fareway
Coronado, California
The redesigned Feast and Fareway is not your typical golf course restaurant. The new design opens the facility to the ocean breezes and views of the Coronado Bridge and San Diego skyline, and transforms an underutilized amenity into a community hub for social gatherings and events. The interior spaces create ties to the golf course, but also create flexible, open and elegant spaces that can accommodate day and night activities.
Throughout the space, an emphasis on rustic, natural materials and green accents helps create a bright, open atmosphere for the 7,000-square-foot space, with different dining areas. As part of the redesign, floor-to-ceiling folding doors connect the restaurant to a new outdoor patio. Recycled wood accents, green walls and wood-beam lighting features highlight the organic, country atmosphere, which includes a tin ceiling and a sliding-glass barn door at the entry. A hanging fixture over the doorway made with recycled golf clubs link visitors of the golf setting, while the materials and fixtures create a restaurant that can stand on their own.
