Integrated design firm continues local expansion with addition of a strategic interiors team leader
(DALLAS, Texas) NOVEMBER 15, 2018 — Veteran Texas interior designer Teresa Rodriguez has joined LPA as managing director of the firm’s fast-growing Dallas office.
In her new role, Teresa will lead LPA’s Dallas Interiors studio, with an emphasis on workplace design. She will also take a broad role in other types of projects, reflecting her experience leading teams of designers on high-profile Texas developments.
“Teresa’s vision and expertise will be a great addition to our Dallas team,” says LPA Dallas regional studio director Craig Drone. “Her spirit of collaboration and reputation for excellence fits well with LPA’s philosophy that a better process produces better results.”
Teresa has worked in the Texas commercial design industry for more than 18 years, helping to create stunning and sustainable spaces for a wide variety of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, higher education facilities and healthcare centers. She is LEED accredited and has extensive experience in large-scale commercial architectural projects, in addition to corporate design.
“I’ve been fortunate to work on architectural projects that have impacted the Dallas city skyline, as well as designing interiors that integrate a strong sense of space based on the clients’ needs,” Rodriguez says. “It has made me well rounded in the aesthetic and technical aspects of both architectural and interior design.”
LPA has offices in Dallas and San Antonio, representing decades of experience in developing Texas projects.
“Teresa’s leadership and knowledge of many types of projects is a perfect complement to LPA’s integrated approach,” said Karen Thomas, LPA’s director of interiors. “She will provide a distinct advantage in our ability to proactively and creatively help our clients solve issues and meet their objectives.”
Rodriguez graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.
“My goals are not only to grow our practice and create beautiful projects, but also to build a team who loves to come to work and contribute to making our city better every day,” Rodriguez says.
