LPA CEO, Managing Director Named to SDBJ’s Women of Influence in Architecture List
Wendy started with LPA as an intern in 1987, rising to a position where she oversees a team of more than 400 architects, engineers, landscape architects and interior designers in California and Texas. She is a vocal advocate for sustainable design and has made energy performance a core value of the firm. Under her leadership, LPA was the largest firm in the country, and one of only 27 firms total, to meet the AIA’s 2030 Commitment energy reduction target the last two years. LPA was honored as AIA California’s 2021 Firm of the Year, in recognition of its long history of design excellence and influence on building performance.
Laura leads the San Diego office’s interior design practice, with a primary focus on workplace and tenant improvement projects. Her experience includes projects for companies such as Ford Mexico, Warner Bros. Games, High Moon Studios, ID Analytics and Century 21 Award. At 701 B Street, her revitalization of the San Diego office tower was recognized as San Diego Business Journal’s Office Project of the Year and received awards from the American Society of Landscape Architects and the Illuminating Energy Society.
In its newly issued rankings, the Business Journal lists LPA as the seventh largest architectural studio in San Diego.
