Wendy Rogers has designed, shared and promoted innovative, high-performance learning environments through her work at LPA where she has practiced architecture since 1987. She has worked collaboratively in both public and private schools to create understandable, informed and beautiful solutions.
Named Chief Executive Officer in 2017, Wendy's role includes working with President Dan Heinfeld on the day-to-day operations with a focus on increasing the role of LPA's proprietary research unit, LPAred, and using LPA's unique informed design approach to differentiate the firm in the marketplace. As Chief Talent Officer, Wendy is responsible for developing the culture and lifestyle at the firm to retain and attract the best and brightest people who want to learn every day and in every aspect of their career to make a difference in the built environment.
Serving nine years as the Green Schools Chair for the U.S. Green Building Council, Wendy is an advocate for the adoption and design of green schools. An experienced educational designer, Wendy uses data and evidence to demonstrate the principles and strategies at work in sustainable school design. She has worked with more than 75 community groups, school boards and districts on innovative and sustainable educational projects across California, recently completing work on the STEM-focused Samueli Academy, a charter high school in Santa Ana, California. She co-authored Green School Primer: Lessons in Sustainability and regularly shares her expertise and knowledge through national, state and local speaking engagements.
A graduate of California Polytechnic State University in Pomona, California, Wendy is a LEED Accredited Professional and a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects.
