Healthcare Resort of Murrieta
Filling a niche in retirement communities
Post-Baby Boomer retirement age has escalated to record numbers and the golden age of resort living for the senior population has arrived. Ensign Services is filling a niche market of retirement communities by providing Continuum of Care Retirement Communities (CCRC).
Ensign’s facility in Murrieta, California is situated on an elevated seven-acre site of rolling hills. Ensign goal was to create an environment of luxury services adjacent to medical and entertainment services in a rural setting. The 120-room, 99,000-square-foot Assisted Living Facility serves able-bodied seniors with a median age of 82, as well memory care residents who are suffering from Alzheimer’s or dementia. The 63,000-square-foot skilled nursing facility is designed for 87 beds.
The community includes The Resort, an active living facility with an outdoor pool, spa and bar, as well as full kitchen services inside and poolside. A rehabilitation gym is provided for residents and the community, while the main lobby can be transformed into to a multi-purpose room for aerobics or community events. Concierge Services schedule access to local community events such as concerts in the park, wine tasting at local wineries and transportation to golf courses. Additional services include a full laundry, self-laundry, wine bar, pastry bar, hair salon and time-share medical office for onsite medial visits and consultations.
The building is designed LEED Gold standards with a full array of rooftop photovoltaic panels, plus a central plant and standby power.
